This is an original pattern.

M7249 1964 Lined short shorts made without waistband, zipper in left side seam, legs of lining are finished with casing and elastic.  Front buttoned top with boat neck and back buttoned shorter top with scooped neck, dart fitted, faced with self fabric or lined.  Shoulder buttoned shift with side vents has French darts.  Border print shift is cut on crosswise grain of fabric.
